In Brazil this year, the World Day is being observed nationwide. Organized in Brasilia, all networks of 27 Traffic Departments in the country (DETRAN) and various NGOs are mobilized, with the participation of the Ministries of Cities, Health, Justice, Federal Highway Police, Federal District Government, NGO Transito Amigo, Chambers of Deputies, PAHO/WHO/Brazil.

The State Government through the State Traffic Department – DETRAN-AP and in partnership with the City of Macapa performs an action on November 17, referring to the World Day of Remembrance for Victims of Traffic Accidents in the Amphitheatre of the Fortaleza de São Jose de Macapa, this tribute aims to remember the victims of traffic and sympathize with the pain of the families and also draw attention to the high rates of deaths and injuries due to traffic accidents.

And as part of the program there will be an interfaith prayer, release of white balloons and a hug at the Fortress of São José de Macapa, symbolizing solidarity and unity between the government and society Amapá in promoting efforts to control and reduce the rates of lives snuffed out in traffic.

O Governo do Estado através do Departamento Estadual de Trânsito – Detran-AP e em parceria com a Prefeitura Municipal de Macapá realiza uma ação no dia 17 de novembro alusiva ao dia Mundial em Memória das Vítimas de Acidentes de Trânsito, no Anfiteatro da Fortaleza de São José de Macapá, esta homenagem objetiva lembrar as vítimas de trânsito e solidarizar-se com a dor das famílias e também chamar a atenção para os altos índices de mortos e feridos em decorrência de acidentes de trânsito.

E como parte da programação será realizada uma oração inter-religiosa, soltura de balões brancos e um abraço na Fortaleza de São José de Macapá, simbolizando a solidariedade e a união entre o poder público e a sociedade amapaense na promoção de esforços para controlar e diminuir os índices de vidas ceifadas no trânsito.
