Official World Day recognition in Europe

 

European Parliament, 2011

The European Parliament passes a resolution on 27th September 2011 calling for official recognition of the World Day of Remembrance by the European Commission and all Member States:
12.  Calls on the Commission and Member States officially to recognise the third Sunday in November as the World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims, as the United Nations and World Health Organisation have already done, in order to raise public awareness of this issue;

The World Day of Remembrance is welcomed via Early Day Motion 1769, dated  11.6.2008 and signed by 53 MPs from all parties.
