Brazil’s Ministry of Health has mobilized its networks of health promotion and prevention of violence and traffic casualties, to conduct activities on World Day:- more than a dozen cities will observe the day with a great variety of ceremonies and events:

In the cities of Palmas, Cascavel, Campo Grande, Teresina, Curitiba, Belo Horizonte, Porto Velho, Aracaju, Campinas, Porto Alegre, Rio de Janeiro, and other cities that are developing activities, several programs will be conducted that involve religious celebrations, memorials, and others.

Palmas (TO):

Banner with lighting in the mall entrance, presentation of Music Band, flowers in all stores with poster of the day;  speeches by religious leaders to the faithful on Sunday 20 and the need for commitment from everyone of a change of behavior,  painting flowers on the way to remember the victims of traffic, “Life Score”.

Cascavel (PR):

The COTRANS will be developing an educational activity in partnership with the Society of Transportation and Traffic Engineering – CETTRANS, Rehabilitation Center at the University of West Paraná Estaudal and Ebony Pereira Eleodoro State College in order to sensitize students and the population to reduce the number of accidents, thereby avoiding the increased number of deaths and sequel due to traffic accidents.
