On 14^th November, CCVR Romania is organizing a debate at the House of Parliament, Constantin Brancusi Hall, at 10am, on the topic “Road victims and their rights”.

The event is intended as an occasion for debate, dialogue and action, in order to define the causes, consequences and possible solutions, which aim, in accordance with the European objective appropriated also by our country, to the reduction by 50% of road traffic victims’ number at the European Union’s level, during the 2011 – 2020 Decade of Action for Road Safety.

To this meeting there are invited representatives of central and local authorities, institutions acting in this domain, civil society, business environment, academic and university environment, specialists, mass-media, other structures and people involved in the reduction of dimensions of road tragedies and their consequences.

On 16^th November, CCVR Romania is organizing the annual action “Bloody asphalt”, in Constitution Square from Bucharest, during 10:00 – 11.00 hrs. The scenario of this event is to gather (hopefully) approximately 2000 people (the number of people that lost their life in Romania in 2012 was 2042) and to have a human domino, people sitting / laying on the street for 2 minutes, while the records on counties will be announced on loudspeakers.

A religious service will he held as well for road victims and / or their families, who are invited to bring photos of their loved ones, who had lost their lives on the roads.
