In Slovenia, the main happening connected with the World Remembrance Day will be the achievement of a Road Traffic Victims Memorial in Lubljana, due to be erected after the World Day, in December. Activities connected with the World Day will therefore also be connected with and dedicated to the national memorial.
A Gathering will take place in the evening of November 17th in Ljubljana – in a cultural hall (Red Hall) inside the City Hall of Ljubljana where one of the ambassadors of Zavod Varna Pot Breda Marija Kovše will introduce her first collection of poems ‘’Opus Pomladi’’ which she started to write as a road traffic victim. There will be music and speeches and lighting of candles.
The evening will conclude with a church service and mass in memory of road traffic victims, in Lubljana.
All towns and cities in Slovenia, relevant Government departments and NGOs are invited to participate in the observance of the World Day.

Ljubljana: Presentation of poems (recital), written by Breda Marija Kovše, road traffic victim, accompanied by live music – a trio of singers and a string quartet.
Ljubljana City Hall, November 17 2012, 5pm.
Responsible persons together with the President of the Republic of Slovenia dr. Danilo Türk have given a speech, while at the end of the recital 5 candles were lit to mark the 5th Anniversary of Zavod Varna Pot.
