The Day of Remembrance of Road Traffic Victims was chosen by RSI “Panos Mylonas” to start the awareness campaign for “MY World Global Survey”, contucted by the UN-“MY World. Tell us the world you want”.
The Institute seeking to achieve a better world without traffic crashes with citizens expressing their wish for better transport and safer roads with the global leaders taking into account citizens’ wishes in the shaping of policies (UN MDG). Thus RSI Panos Mylonas is promoting this global survey in Greece as well as in other affiliated partner-countries, urging citizens, young people, parents and people of all ages to state their views and send their message to the United Nations through the internet. Given that one of the priorities is better transport and roads the Institute aims to strength the issue of safer transport and roads that will help prevention of road casualties.
Honouring the memory of those lost on the roads RSI Panos Mylonas as a tribute, asks its voluteers and citizens to meet over the web and send a strong message voting for better transport and safer roads that will save lives.
In parallel, interviews on MY World survey and RSI TV & radio ads related to speeding and the prevention of road crashes are broadcasted in national and local channels and stations under the approval of the National Radio TV Council for the next 3 months.
