“The World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims”
‘Speed Kills!: Design Out Speeding!’

In support of the ‘World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims’, Malaysia will be organising a national launch on the 16th November 2014. Several road safety programmes have been lined up for that day. The national launch and its programmes will be publicised via mass media and social media. Please refer to the attachment for details on the programmes.

The Road Safety Department (RSD) was established as a lead agency to formulate, implement and coordinate road safety policies, plans and regulations. RSD is also responsible in coordinating road safety programmes involving other agencies and to educate and increase the awareness of road users on the importance of road safety and ultimately reduce deaths and injuries caused by road traffic crashes. RSD is also the Secretariat to the Road Safety Council of Malaysia and the Malaysia Global
Road Safety Partnership (GRPS) Foundation (non-governmental organisations).
