For the 9th consecutive year, Project C.A.R.E.S. together with various Program Partners and Volunteer organizations, families of victims and crash survivors, will spearhead the observance of the 2014 World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims starting with the traditional Memorial Mass for the Victims, inter-faith prayers, blessing and wreath laying at the Road Safety Memorial Tree, and the Peoplecade (Road Safety Memorial Walk).
A simple program will present and recognize key stakeholders and program partners supporting and adopting Project CARES RS10P (Coalition of Advocates for Roads & Environment Safety- Road Safety Decade Program).
The highlight of this year’s WDoR Celebration hopes to stir in our communities / in our country a real appreciation for the promotion and adoption of a comprehensive and workable road safety and injury prevention campaign initiatives program especially for young children “SAFER Roads, Streets, Schools, Kids” and for people with disabilities — to involve public and private schools to be initiators of road safety at the grassroots level while challenging our respective local governments in the island to aim for zero road traffic crash deaths that will inspire institutions and individuals up to the national level.
