“World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims (WDR)”

A gathering of 150-220 people for a hike to commemorate the WDR. . The event will start with an enlightenment talk on relevant road safety issues. Candles would be lit and a moment of silence observed for loved ones lost to road traffic crashes. Enlightenment materials will be given out at the end of the hike.

Highway Safety Initiative (HSI) also known as Safehiway is a member of the Global Alliance of NGOs for Road Safety, a member of The 3 Star Alliance and a well recognized NGO in Nigeria. Our major focus since inception in 2008 has been on advocacy and public education for enhanced road safety infrastructure on major highways at all levels of governance i.e. Federal, State and Local authorities in Nigeria.
