People are invited to join us on Saturday 15th November as we pay our respects in advance of Sunday’s World Day of Remembrance for Traffic Victims. http://www.roadpeace.org/remembering/world_day_of_remembrance/

Feel free to join us for the whole ride or come to one of our stops along the way to pay your respects.

We will meet at Platt Fields Bike Hub from 1:30 p.m. to depart at 2:00 p.m. sharp. We will leave promptly to ensure we can rendezvous with others along the route at the times detailed below. We will ride at a gentle pace and everyone is welcome.

From Platt Fields we will ride the short distance to Landcross Road (M14 6LZ; map: https://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=M14+6LZ) to arrive at Joshua Jarvis’s ghost bike by 2:10 p.m. We’ll stay here for approx 15 minutes and anyone who would like to pay their respects to Josh is very welcome to join us.

We will then ride towards the city-centre, visiting Jaye Bloomfield’s ghost bike near Hulme Street (M15 5EF; map: https://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=M15+5EF) between 2:45-3:00 p.m. Again, anyone who would like to join us to pay their respects to Jaye is very welcome.

We will then proceed to St. Peter’s Square, arriving at the cenotaph at approximately 3:15 p.m. to pay our respects and remember all victims of traffic violence. If you would like to join us here, you are more than welcome to do so.
