“World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims”

We are very pleased to inform you that Guilan trauma road center (GTRC) was founded under the presidency of Dr. Shahrokh Yousefzadeh Chabok in October 2004 and inaugurated in 2004 research week officially. Developing the first Iranian trauma system until 2017 is in its agenda of the center. With respect to the center’s missions for developing trauma knowledge and conducting research and educational activities on prevention, treatment and rehabilitation related to road crashes and, in addition, offering strategies for promoting people’s safety in order to prevent injuries, GTRC intends to hold commemoration ceremony for the first time in Guilan province on November 16, 2014 that is the world day of remembrance for road traffic victims. Beside holding commemoration ceremony in Poursina hospital in Rasht, our programs include notifying about this day by media as well as banner and stands in the city, publishing a special related to this day and holding children’s painting exhibition on road crashes. We hope we’ll be able to improve road safety situation and reduce driving crash hazards through holding this ceremony.
