Events held by EFTHITA RHODES

• Following our request, a memorial service will be held for the fourth time in all the churches of Rhodes Island, Greece, and an awareness speech by Bishop Cyril about the World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Accidents will be read.
• A Religious Concert will be held at the Holy Cathedral of the Annunciation at 20.30 by the respected composer Phillipos Tsalachouris. His work has been presented in Greece, Russia, Spain, Italy, Bulgaria, Hungary, England, the USA, France, Rumania, Uruguay, China, Ukraine, Germany, Kiev, the Czech Republic and so on. His work  includes remarkable pieces such as ‘The Four Symphonies’, ‘One-act Operas’, ‘Santis’ Dream’, ‘Pushkin and Infidelity’, or ‘Paper Moon’, ’24 Greek Dances’, ‘Violin Concertino’, ‘Contraband Concertino’, ‘The Cerigo Cantata’, ‘The Hymn of Love’, ‘Jesus’ Seven Speeches on the Cross and the Resurrection’ et al.

           ‘Five Prayers’ by  Phillipos Tsalachouris (*1969) for cello & bells,  opus 77

                FIRST WORLD PERFORMANCE

• At the commencement of a football match in Rhodes, both teams will enter the pitch wearing EFTHITA jerseys and will open two banners writing ‘Let’s make our streets SAFE’.
• Within the framework of the same Day, the central flower bed at the General Hospital of Rhodes, which has been given to us after a request, will be embellished. A work by an artist related to road victims will also be placed there as well as a little notice with our logo writing ‘Let’s make our roads SAFE’.
