Event organization: Georgia Alliance for Safe Roads

Event info: On November 18, at 14:00, the “Georgia Alliance for Safe Roads” with partner organisations organized World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims on one of the ‘black spot’in Tbilisi, (Khudadovi street,Bus station ID 2260)where the so-called illegal races are observed and cases of accidents with victims are recorded. The goal of the event was to remind the road users and the government that road accidents are preventable if right measures are taken regarding the safe infrastructure, safe transport and awareness of road participants.Organizers, professional racers, residents living near Khudadovi Street and representatives of civil sector participated in the event. Awareness raising meeting between people and racers about the safety and risks on the roads was organized and trees were planted in honor of the deceased in the place of car accidents.
