For this year’s World Day of Remembrance, two Brazilian Ministries are involved:
The Ministry of Health has mobilized its network of centres to prevent violence and accidents in all capitals in the country for conducting activities on the World Day 2012, with special attention to motorcyclists, who represent the largest number of victims in the country.
The Ministry of Cities has mobilized its network of Departments of Transit (27 cities/capitals) into integrated actions in the areas of education and traffic law enforcement.
In the cities of Palmas (TO), Belo Horizonte (MG), Teresina (PI), Campo Grande (MS), Curitiba (PR), Belém (PA), Rio de Janeiro (RJ), Brasilia (DF) and Manaus (AM ), and other municipalities, actions are being developed involving religious celebrations, memorials and others.
